  • OpenAI introduces ChatGPT Enterprise for business 💼

OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Enterprise, a business-centric adaptation offering enhanced security, personalization, and high-speed access to GPT-4. This version prioritizes data privacy, promises not to use your data for training, and offers advanced encryption. Experience lightning-fast, unlimited usage with a vastly expanded 32k context window for handling bigger files. It even features advanced data analysis tools and collaborative chat templates for seamless workflows. The upgrade ticks all boxes: SOC2 compliance, unlimited GPT-4 access, and new shareable prompt templates.

  • Google Cloud Next 2023: AI updates you need to know 📊

  1. Google’s Vertex AI: All-in-One solution for code, image, text 🔥

Google Cloud has announced updates to its cloud-based platform Vertex AI, which provides workflows for building, training, and deploying machine learning models. Vertex AI now features updated AI models for text, image, and code generation, as well as new third-party models from startups. Extensions have been added to let developers incorporate company data and take action on a user's behalf.

  2. Google’s new A3 GPU supercomputer with Nvidia H100 GPUs will be generally available next month 🖥️

Google Cloud will launch the A3 GPU virtual machines into general availability next month. These machines combine Nvidia's H100 GPUs with Google's custom-designed IPUs for high-performance AI workloads. The A3 machines offer up to 26 exaflops of AI performance and up to 10x more network bandwidth compared to the previous-generation A2 machines. They are purpose-built for training, tuning, and serving demanding generative AI workloads and large language models.

  3. Google’s Duet AI does it all: Chat, summarize, assist 🗨️📋

Duet AI can act as a meeting assistant, a chatbot in Google Chat, a document summarizer, and more. It can create presentations based on relevant content in Google Drive and Gmail. Duet AI can also help in Google Meet by providing studio-like effects, taking notes, and sending out recaps. The AI can join meetings on behalf of users and deliver messages to attendees. Customer interactions with Duet AI stay within their organization with existing workplace protections in place. Duet AI is being offered as a no-cost trial for interested customers. Pricing for smaller businesses is yet to be finalized, while enterprise pricing is set at $30/mo. per seat.

  1. Google’s GKE Enterprise to help companies manage complex Kubernetes environments 🏢

Designed to handle complicated Kubernetes environments, GKE Enterprise integrates Anthos with Google Kubernetes Engine. The platform offers a range of features including 'fleets of clusters,' aiming to streamline development across multiple projects. It aims to support clusters with up to 15,000 nodes, making it highly scalable and suitable for complex AI workloads.

  2. Google Cloud announces fifth generation of tensor processing units (TPUs) for AI training and inferencing 🚀

The fifth generation of TPUs promises a 2x improvement in training performance per dollar and a 2.5x improvement in inferencing performance per dollar. Users can now easily scale their TPU clusters beyond what was previously possible, allowing a single large AI workload to span multiple physical TPU clusters

  3. BigQuery Studio: A new way to work with data 📇

Google's BigQuery Studio offers a single, scalable solution for organizations struggling to analyze massive data sets. Integrated with Vertex AI, it allows for predictive analytics and machine learning workloads at scale. Data usage can be tracked from generation to processing to usage in AI models. Machine learning models can be evaluated at scale by pushing down the code directly into BigQuery as infrastructure.

  4. Google DeepMind launches SynthID for watermarking and identifying AI-generated images

Google DeepMind, in partnership with Google Cloud, has launched a new tool called SynthID for watermarking and identifying AI-generated images. SynthID embeds a digital watermark directly into the pixels of an image, making it imperceptible but detectable by an algorithm. The tool specifically supports Imagen, Google's text-to-image model, which is exclusively available in Vertex AI. SynthID aims to empower people to identify AI-generated content and prevent the spread of misinformation.

  • General Motors to use Google AI chatbot for its OnStar service

GM is using Google Cloud's conversational chatbot, Dialogflow, to handle non-emergency OnStar features. OnStar can now provide responses to common queries like routing and navigation assistance. GM aims to build a $25 billion subscription business by 2030. Dialogflow helps OnStar better understand customer inquiries and respond with a natural-sounding voice.

  • OpenAI: The Billion-Dollar march 🚶‍♀️🤑

OpenAI is crushing it, now raking in $80M a month—35 times more than last year's monthly average. Before they started charging for ChatGPT, they only made $28M for the whole year and faced a $540M loss as it developed GPT-4 and ChatGPT. Now, they're on track to hit the $1 billion mark!
