  • Meta introduces Code Llama, a powerful model for creating code 🚀

Say hello to Code Llama by Meta—a big coding helper in 7B, 13B, and 34B versions. It is trained on 500B code tokens. Available with the same license as Llama 2, Code Llama can create code strings, and even understand natural language instructions. Benchmark tests reveal Code Llama significantly outperformed open-source code-specific LLMs, scoring 53.7% on HumanEval and 56.2% on MBPP, the highest among other solutions and equal to ChatGPT. 🛠️

  • Stability AI’s SDXL: Now faster with NVIDIA TensorRT integration!

Stability AI teams up with NVIDIA to enhance the speed of Stable Diffusion XL (SDXL) – its text-to-image generative AI tool. By integrating NVIDIA TensorRT, the performance on NVIDIA H100 chips doubles, generating high-definition images in just 1.47 seconds!

  • OpenAI & Scale AI: A winning combination for custom model creation 🎛️

OpenAI has selected Scale AI as the key partner 🤝 for fine-tuning GPT3.5 Turbo, a large language model. Using Scale AI's skill in fine-tuning, GPT3.5 will see improved performance, letting businesses build tailored models. Scale’s Data Engine will be leveraged to accelerate model development by generating prompts and ranking model outputs. The collaboration promises high-quality, human-reviewed models tailored to real business impact.

  • Google is set to boost security in Google Workspace using AI 🔒

Google has plans to ramp up security in Workspace through AI-powered features. This technology will streamline security tasks and reinforce the zero-trust model. The company aims to automatically classify and label sensitive data, improve data loss prevention controls, and provide context-aware controls for sharing sensitive data. Google will also introduce client-side encryption for mobile versions of Gmail, Calendar, Meet, and other Workspace tools, giving customers control over encryption keys and data sovereignty. These updates are expected to be rolled out later this year and in early 2024.

  • Microsoft’s Windows 11 to embrace AI: Photos, Snipping Tool, and Paint to transform! 🖼️

Microsoft is reportedly on the verge of adding AI features to Windows 11, specifically in apps like Photos, Snipping Tool, and Paint 🎨. This includes identifying objects in Photos, using optical character recognition (OCR) for text extraction in the Snipping Tool, and AI-powered art creation in Paint. These updates match Microsoft's recent interest in AI, including their partnership with OpenAI and launching Bing Chat 💬. More details will be shared at the event on September 21

  • Nvidia soars with AI, 101% growth 📈

Nvidia reported a dazzling 101% growth, earning $13.5 billion for the quarter, driven by the booming demand for GPU chips in AI workloads. With investments in R&D and $25 billion in share repurchases, Nvidia is planning for sustained growth. But could it face a Zoom-like slowdown? The company’s strategic decisions will be key to navigating this high-growth phase.

  • Jambot: Figma's new AI assistant widget for its whiteboard platform 💭

Figma has unveiled Jambot, an AI assistant widget for its whiteboard platform, FigJam. Fueled by ChatGPT, Jambot helps with activities such as brainstorming, mind mapping 🗺️, answering queries, and rewriting content. This update is part of Figma's ongoing efforts to integrate AI, as shown by the recent acquisitions of Diagram, a design AI startup, and Clover Notes, a whiteboard creation tool 🎨.
