NVIDIA ships 900 tons of H100 AI GPUs, zooms past 300,000 units! 🚚
A research firm called Omdia has spilled the beans on NVIDIA's latest achievement 🕵️. They're sending out a whopping 900 tons of H100 AI GPUs this quarter, which equals about 300,000 units! 📦 This news puts NVIDIA way ahead in the AI game and brings them closer to their big goal of shipping 1.5 million to 2 million AI GPUs by 2024 📈. NVIDIA's H100 GPUs are the heroes behind these super-high sales, making them the top dogs in the industry 🏆.Salesforce’s "Chain of Density" method for improving article summaries 📝
Salesforce has come up with a cool idea called "Chain of Density" or CoD 🧠. It's all about making AI summaries better by saying more with less. The CoD method involves the iterative creation and revision of summaries, which is expected to result in more abstract, coherent, and less biased summaries than a generic prompt. They tested it on 100 news articles from CNN and DailyMail, and guess what? Summaries created after about three rounds of tweaks got the highest marks from human reviewers 👏. The research team publishes a dataset of 500 annotated and 5000 unannotated CoD summaries alongside the prompt.🚀
New Google Deepmind Maps algorithm improves routing by up to 24 percent on average 🌐
Google has partnered with DeepMind to enhance its mapping services significantly. They've introduced a new algorithm that makes routes 24% faster on average by using real driving data and user preferences 📊 . This smart algorithm has an impressive 360 million parameters and employs a technique called "inverse reinforcement learning" (IRL), featuring Receding Horizon Inverse Planning (RHIP). RHIP improves route accuracy by 16 to 24%, benefiting both drivers and two-wheeled vehicle users. This innovation tackles the complexities of real-world road networks and holds the promise of advanced AI-driven route planning.🚗🌟

Rishi Sunak considers banning Chinese officials from half of AI summit 🤔
In November, the UK is set to host a significant global AI safety summit, uniting nations, top firms, researchers, and civil society for responsible AI development 🌐. However, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is pondering over excluding some Chinese officials from a portion of the summit due to increasing concerns about espionage 🕵️♂️.
Anthropic teams up with BCG to supercharge Enterprise AI! 🚀
Anthropic has partnered with BCG to offer clients direct access to its Claude 2 large language model assistant and AI technology 💪. BCG clients will use the AI models for different strategic solutions, driving innovation and improving team productivity📈. Anthropic's AI will be used to accelerate fraud detection, demand forecasting, and writing-related tasks. Anthropic, valued at $5 billion, aims to drive adoption of AI across functions through industry partnerships. OpenAI, Cohere, McKinsey, PwC, and EY are among the companies forming partnerships to boost AI adoption. 🛡️
DeepMind’s cofounder: Generative AI is just a phase, Interactive AI is next 🚀
Mustafa Suleyman, co-founder of DeepMind, believes that generative AI is just a phase and the future lies in interactive AI🌟. Interactive AI involves bots that can carry out tasks by leveraging other software and people. Suleyman's company, Inflection, is focused on building interactive AI and has a team of top-tier talent and specialized AI hardware. He also advocates for robust regulation in the AI space. Safety is a top priority for Suleyman and his team. Pi, their large language model, has been designed to avoid producing toxic content ⚖️. Values such as respect, empathy, and understanding are ingrained in Pi's responses. 🤗
